Market Place Helps Homeless Dogs and Cats Like Jade

JadeMany animals like Jade are alive and well today because of our Market Place thrift store at 707 Andrew Jackson Way in Huntsville. Jade was turned in to us by her neglectful owner. Not only was Jade neglected…she was pregnant, malnourished, and had a damaged and prolapsed uterus (yes, with pups inside it). His other husky was the father of Jade’s pups, but he didn’t want Jade anymore since she was very pregnant and very sick. One vet advised us to euthanize her because mom and pups’ chances of survival were slim, and she was due to go into labor any day, which she would not survive. Then we got Dr. Newman involved. He performed some miracle surgeries on Jade and she and all the pups ended up surviving and thriving!!!! All 9 of her pups were spayed/neutered at 8 weeks old and adopted to wonderful homes, and now Jade lives at A New Leash Lodge where she runs and plays with her lodge friends every day!

Jade has A New Leash on Life because the Market Place volunteers, donors, and shoppers help us raise money every week for these animals who don’t have a chance. Please consider donating any of your unwanted household items to the Market Place…furniture, clothing, books, jewelry, big toys, little toys, anything gently used that we can resell. We will give you a tax receipt for donating!

Hours are Wed-Sat, 11-4. Stop by and donate or shop for amazing bargains all over the store. The animals need all of you!
