A nice man was out walking his dog when he came upon a black and white puppy on the street. The puppy ran into the woods and then out again, and then back into the woods. The man followed the pup to see where he was going, and he took him straight to a black lab with a badly injured leg. It appeared that the puppy was trying to find help for his friend.

With a kind heart, the man picked up both dogs and put them in his truck. A New Leash on Life, in collaboration with Forgotten Felines, sent the dogs to Flint River Animal Hospital for exams, x-rays, and testing. The puppy was fine, but the adult dog needed surgery to correct his shattered leg. They have been named Eddie and Skip, and they are quite a pair!

Thanks to the New Leash on Life Marigold Fund, Eddie had surgery to repair his broken leg without having to wait for money to be raised. They have both been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, etc.

A FOSTER HOME is NEEDED for this great pair ASAP. Eddie will need recuperation time for his leg to keep healing, so leash walks only for him for a few weeks. They are both indoor/outdoor and very friendly dogs. If you are interested in meeting them, please email us at pets@anewleash.org.

The New Leash on Life Marigold Fund was set up for a sweet dog named Marigold, who needed orthopedic surgery quickly or she would have lost her leg. We raised enough money for her surgery, and kept getting donations afterward, so we have kept the fund alive for animals in need of our help quickly. This way, they don’t have to wait for us to raise money for them. We have it readily available when emergencies arise.
