Lily’s life was pretty rough before A New Leash on Life found out about her. We received an email that she was an un-wanted stray in a rural neighborhood, and she was too scared to catch. She was nasy, matted, and skinny, and the neighbors had been shooting at her to get her to go away. A New Leash volunteer decided to step in and try to make a difference in this girl’s life……and she has! Becky Burrows spent alot of time going to the neighborhood and patiently trying to gain Lily’s trust. She finally caught her and took her straight to the vet for examination, heartworm testing, vaccinations, and spaying. She also got a bath and a nice clip so she would look pretty for adopting!
Lily is now in need of a forever, loving home where her new family will be patient with her and understand what she has been through. She is a beautiful dog, inside and out, and will make someone a wonderful pet, if given enough time to adjust. Email pets@anewleash.org if you are interested in meeting her.
