Little Delila

December 3rd, 2007

Little DelilaA kitten this small is lucky to be alive after being hit by a car. Her pelvis and one of her back legs were crushed, but she kept on purring. She was unwanted after this happened, so her owner turned her over to a vet. A New Leash on Life was contacted to help with this precious little one, and we are happy to say that she is doing better. Her back leg had to be amputated, but she will hopefully be able to live a normal life from now on……she has a New Leash on Life!!!! We are in the process of raising money to cover her vet bills, and we will be using some of the Angel Tree money to do so. Please support our Christmas Charity. Read the Angel Tree announcement below and go to one of the locations to donate. It will make a difference in the lives of homeless and abandoned animals in our community. Thanks!

I am the lucky person to have been given Delilah to love and help her recover from her injuries. I am her foster mommy and I cannot stress enough how much love she has given me in return for the opportunity to care for her.

She LOVES to be held. She find great comfort in the arms of someone who loves her. I know from the bottom of my heart that she will recover fully and live the happiest, healthiest life possible.

Thank you to A New Leash on Life for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this little angels life.

Delilah doesn’t know how lucky she really is. I know Willow will give and receive a lot of love from
the kitten. Mattie, her daughter, is so proud of
Delilah and can’t wait to love and hold this lovely
kitten. She will make such a great vet one day. Because of Mattie and her love of animals, we donated to this great charity.

It is wonderful that Delilah is being taken care of. Has someone adopted her? It is so heart-breaking of the cruelty humans do to animals. Thank God we have “A New Leash on life” and others to care for these loving animals. I just wanted to thank you Willow for your care to Delila. We should all continue to donate to this great need for our animals.

Did Willow end up adopting Delilah? I saw the story a while back on your website and I was just curious if she ever found a home.

    Thanks!
