The Brownsboro Lifesaving Center (BLC) serves as the primary intake facility for animals rescued from overcrowded shelters across North Alabama.
When animals arrive, they often need time to decompress, receive medical care, and stabilize before they are ready for adoption. This location provides a structured, lower-traffic environment where that work can happen.
Animals stay at BLC while they:
- Receive veterinary care and treatment
- Recover from illness, injury, or stress
- Are spayed or neutered
- Begin adjusting to a more stable routine
From here, many animals move on to adoption locations or foster homes once they are ready.
