These two darling sisters were so gentle and sweet, we had to name them Sugar and Cookies. They both have beautiful, golden tiger coloring and are about 8 months old (23 lbs each). Sugar and Cookies were abandoned by their owner and turned into A New Leash on Life, so they need a foster home quickly. Both are spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative, etc. and will be medium-sized dogs when full grown.
A New Leash on Life provides all veterinary care for the foster dogs and cats in our program. Email pets@anewleash.org for detailed information about our successful foster and adoption program.
Filed under dogs | Comment (0)Aspen and Her Pups Found in Abandoned Trailer Park
She did her best before she was found. She fed her pups well. Thank goodness a caring man saw her going into the dark, abandoned building and followed her into it. He started feeding her and taking her blankets so the pups could have something warm to lay on. He then called A New Leash on Life for help. ANLOL named her Aspen and sent her and the pups to Flint River Animal Hospital where they were assessed, dewormed, etc. and we are now looking for a foster home for them. Aspen weighs around 40 lbs with her milk in, so will be in the 30s when she’s done nursing. All vet bills will be paid by ANLOL. Puppies are now named: Auburn, Ann Arbor, Alexandria, Atlanta, Austin, Anchorage, Amarillo, and Arapahoe….US cities that start with A!
Rosie Needs Help!
Rosie is a cute pit-bull mix puppy in need of a quick foster home. Her elderly owner had to give her up, because her nurse refused to come to the house with a pit-bull in it. Rosie absolutely adores people…..though she’s not sure about other dogs yet. She has been around people of all ages, including children, and does great with everybody. She has been spayed, vaccinated, etc. A New Leash on Life pays for all vet expenses, and the foster family provides food, water, shelter, and LOVE!!! Please email pets@anewleash.org if you would like to provide an indoor/outdoor home for this homeless dog.
Little Delila
A kitten this small is lucky to be alive after being hit by a car. Her pelvis and one of her back legs were crushed, but she kept on purring. She was unwanted after this happened, so her owner turned her over to a vet. A New Leash on Life was contacted to help with this precious little one, and we are happy to say that she is doing better. Her back leg had to be amputated, but she will hopefully be able to live a normal life from now on……she has a New Leash on Life!!!! We are in the process of raising money to cover her vet bills, and we will be using some of the Angel Tree money to do so. Please support our Christmas Charity. Read the Angel Tree announcement below and go to one of the locations to donate. It will make a difference in the lives of homeless and abandoned animals in our community. Thanks!
