Foster Home Needed for Ginger and 2 Week Old Pups
Ginger Rogers and her 2 week old pups are homeless. They need a safe place to live and grow with their mom. Mom is an medium-sized aussie mix who takes good care of her pups. There are five pups: Martini, Tom Collins, Mojito, Daiquiri, and Shirley Temple. Do you have room in your home to foster this sweet, little family? They need our help quickly. All vet bills paid by A New Leash on Life. Email pets@anewleash.org for more info.

Starbuck has been found! He was only 5 miles from his foster home.
If you have seen this handsome fella, please email us at pets@anewleash.org or call 256.489.PETS. He has been missing since last night, 8/8, and is wearing a green “ADOPT ME” bandana. He escaped from his foster home off Indian Creek Rd with his brother, Charlie. Charlie is very shy and probably won’t come to you, but Starbuck is very friendly. He’s a solid, stocky boy with a lively personality. Reward for his safe return!

Tippy, a small, white pomeranian mix, was turned in to Huntsville Animal Services with a painful, injured leg. A New Leash on Life took her into our foster and adoption program and had Dr. Newman assess her leg. He found that she has a fractured and dislocated hip which will require surgery. So we are raising money in our Marigold Fund to help cover the surgery costs. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to help her, you can use the paypal link on our website or mail a check to P.O.Box 221, Brownsboro, AL 35741.

Trying to save more lives is one of our main goals at A New Leash on Life, Inc. Spaying and neutering is the other. Each week during the summer, A New Leash on Life is offering a special deal on different colors or breeds of cats and dogs. We don’t believe that pets have a monetary value. They are not possessions or toys to be bought, sold, or thrown away. They are wonderful, living, breathing, creatures who are deserving of the best life can offer! And many are dying in the city shelter each day, because they are not adopted. Spaying and neutering is the most important part of the solution to this problem. But second to that is getting them out of the shelter and into one of our foster homes so the public can come to our adoption days at Petsmart to see them, touch them, spend time with them, and fall in love with them! It really works! The volunteers see this in action each Saturday at Petsmart.
So, to find more adoptive homes, we are offering these special deals on some very special pets! We will not lower our standards for adoption, only our adoption donation requirements. You must be able to afford proper vet care for the life of the pet you are adopting, however, so one of our adoption counselors will help you decide if adopting is right for you! We sure hope it is! Then YOU can be part of the solution and help us save more lives!
Send us an email to pets@anewleash.org to sign up for our New Leash Newsletter, published weekly, and you will get a heads-up on the upcoming specials! And come down to the Jones Valley Petsmart on Saturdays (and Market Place Wed through Sat) to meet these awesome creatures…one is there waiting to love you unconditionally!

Come to Petsmart in Jones Valley February 12-15, this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, to see our fun-loving dogs and cats looking for forever homes. BJ will be there….and many, many more. Check out all of our adoptable pets at anewleash.org/adopt. When you adopt a pet from ANLOL, you are adopting a pet who has been in a foster home, not a cage, and his/her good and bad habits are known. Each pet has also been fully vetted: spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, tested for heartworms (dogs) and FIV/Felv (cats), dewormed, and whatever else they need to be happy and healthy!
Our main goal is to match each pet with a person or family who will enjoy them as a new family member, make a lifetime commitment to them, and whose lifestyle matches that pet’s needs. This helps to reduce the chances of them ever being homeless again.
See you this weekend at Petsmart!
