After 8 years of living with her family, Callie is homeless. While her family could not help their circumstances, Callie did not deserve to be given up. She is a wonderful girl with a big heart, and loves everybody. She is a playmate for other dogs in her foster home, and she is a great companion in the house. Callie looks like a shepherd or husky mix, and weighs about 95 lbs. She loves leash walks, rides well in a car, and is an all-around great dog. Callie is spayed, vaccinated, and on heartworm prevention.
Would you like to meet Callie? If so, email pets@anewleash.org or come to the Jones Valley Petsmart in Huntsville on a Saturday from 12 to 6, and you will see for yourself what a love she is!
Filed under Uncategorized | Comment (1)Help us Help Bonnie - She has Heartworms !
Bonnie and Clyde were found roaming around Big Spring Park, filthy, hungry, and lost. A nice lady saved them and they became part of the New Leash Program. They need a foster home together, and Bonnie needs the expensive treatment for deadly heartworms. Thank goodness Clyde is heartworm negative! They have both been examined, vaccinated, dewormed, etc. by the vets at Valley Animal Hospital and they are scheduled for spay/neuter and microchips in a few days.
We are currently raising money to treat Bonnie’s heartworms, and hope to have enough in a couple of weeks. PLEASE HELP BONNIE by making a tax-deductible donation either online via paypal, or by sending a check to ANLOL P.O. Box 221, Brownsboro, AL 35741. Specify that it is for Bonnie.
….and if you would like to foster this great pair of dogs until they are adopted, please email pets@anewleash.org. We pay all vet bills. You will be responsible for food, water, shelter, and LOTS OF LOVE! They sure deserve it!

If you have lost 2 dogs, we may know where they are. 2 sweet dogs were found in Big Spring Park on Monday July 7th (lots of dogs run away around the 4th of July because they are afraid of the loud fireworks) and we would like to reunite them with their owner. They were travelling together and seem to belong together. Please email us if you have lost 2 dogs, and we will ask you to identify them. Our email is pets@anewleash.org.

Rosie is a cute pit-bull mix puppy in need of a quick foster home. Her elderly owner had to give her up, because her nurse refused to come to the house with a pit-bull in it. Rosie absolutely adores people…..though she’s not sure about other dogs yet. She has been around people of all ages, including children, and does great with everybody. She has been spayed, vaccinated, etc. A New Leash on Life pays for all vet expenses, and the foster family provides food, water, shelter, and LOVE!!! Please email pets@anewleash.org if you would like to provide an indoor/outdoor home for this homeless dog.
