3-Day Adopt-a-Thon This Weekend!!
Come to Petsmart in Jones Valley February 12-15, this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, to see our fun-loving dogs and cats looking for forever homes. BJ will be there….and many, many more. Check out all of our adoptable pets at anewleash.org/adopt. When you adopt a pet from ANLOL, you are adopting a pet who has been in a foster home, not a cage, and his/her good and bad habits are known. Each pet has also been fully vetted: spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, tested for heartworms (dogs) and FIV/Felv (cats), dewormed, and whatever else they need to be happy and healthy!
Our main goal is to match each pet with a person or family who will enjoy them as a new family member, make a lifetime commitment to them, and whose lifestyle matches that pet’s needs. This helps to reduce the chances of them ever being homeless again.
See you this weekend at Petsmart!
George Senior…Forever Adopted!
We had high hopes for this sweet fella when we got him, but they were exceeded! He has the best home EVER with David, Sarah, Belle, and Bailey. His every need will now be met and he will know love. George will never be abandoned again. He has a new leash on LIFE! Thanks to the Hills for sharing your life with George.

These two darling sisters were so gentle and sweet, we had to name them Sugar and Cookies. They both have beautiful, golden tiger coloring and are about 8 months old (23 lbs each). Sugar and Cookies were abandoned by their owner and turned into A New Leash on Life, so they need a foster home quickly. Both are spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative, etc. and will be medium-sized dogs when full grown.
A New Leash on Life provides all veterinary care for the foster dogs and cats in our program. Email pets@anewleash.org for detailed information about our successful foster and adoption program.

Little George is a senior beagle, around 14 years old, who is homeless. He is at our city shelter in Huntsville and A New Leash on Life can save him if YOU can spare a little place in your home and heart for him. Email pets@anewleash.org if you are interested in fostering this sweet, older fella. All vet bills will be paid by A New Leash on Life!
Filed under dogs | Comment (0)Aspen and Her Pups Found in Abandoned Trailer Park
She did her best before she was found. She fed her pups well. Thank goodness a caring man saw her going into the dark, abandoned building and followed her into it. He started feeding her and taking her blankets so the pups could have something warm to lay on. He then called A New Leash on Life for help. ANLOL named her Aspen and sent her and the pups to Flint River Animal Hospital where they were assessed, dewormed, etc. and we are now looking for a foster home for them. Aspen weighs around 40 lbs with her milk in, so will be in the 30s when she’s done nursing. All vet bills will be paid by ANLOL. Puppies are now named: Auburn, Ann Arbor, Alexandria, Atlanta, Austin, Anchorage, Amarillo, and Arapahoe….US cities that start with A!
