December 18th, 2007

If you have a Happy Tail about a dog or cat you have adopted from us and you would like to post it on our website, please email a picture and the story to pets@anewleash.org. Thanks!

Toto von Kamp

Many thanks to the von Kamps for adopting our sweet Toto!

Sunny and Luna, adopted by Barbara Gettys as pups! Looks like they definitely have a new leash on LIFE!

Rayne (previously Tazz) happily adopted by the FritzesTazz Now Rayne Happily Adopted

Jessie and Buddy

Jessie and Buddy

These two are best buds! They were adopted together with their brother, Barkley, from A New Leash on Life about 4 years ago and Barkley has since passed away. They sure do have it rough as couch potatoes!

Boo Bear

Boo Bear

Boo Bear was found as a little bitty puppy on a busy highway at night. The only reason she saw her is because the white line was not white where Boo was…..it was black! So she stopped the car and caught the little, black bear, put her in the car, and took her home. Boo became a foster dog with A New Leash on Life, but quickly got adopted by her foster family. She lives with 2 human siblings, 4 doggie sisters and a doggie brother, 4 cats, 6 horses, and various foster dogs and cats from time to time. Boo Bear is beautiful inside and out!

Jace, Alvin, and Mabel
Jace Alvin and Mabel

Jace Alvin and Mabel

These three were adopted by their foster mom, Carol, and are very devoted to her. She continues to volunteer with ANLOL, helping out with fundraisers, and other fun things. Carol has helped many homeless pets in her life, and A New Leash on Life is greatly appreciative of her dedication to our cause.

Shadow & Sammie

These two could be twins! Shadow (left) was all alone until his parents were looking at the adoptable dogs from A New Leash on Life, and they saw Sammie. He was smaller than Shadow, but they looked so similar…it was hard to pass him up! They ended up adopting Sammie, and and giving him a forever family to call his own. Thanks to Reudi and Debra for giving Sammie and Shadow a wonderful life together.

Murphy (aka Carter)Murphy

After being found running along the road, Carter was brought into a foster home at A New Leash. My husband found him on the website and forwarded his picture to me at work. I fell in love instantly with those big brown eyes and floppy ears. After work we drove to his foster home and met him in person….Love at first sight! Two days later, after our home visit, he was ours! Upon his arrival home, it was clear to us that Carter needed a new name, one the that fit this floppy ball of love. Renamed Murphy he has become a fixture on the end of our bed at bedtime and I can’t fall asleep until he rests his head on my foot. Murphy will lay in the kitchen while you cook, waiting for anything to fall on the floor, and has been known to goose you while your cooking to facilitate treat dropping.

MollieMollie (aka Daphne)

This sweet girl came to us as our second adoption from A New Leash. Upon her arrival, she was afraid of my husband and almost any other male, but with lots of love and affection she has become a “Man’s Dog” and fawns all over not only my husband but any male friends who come to visit. She is the perfect companion to her brothers Murphy and Buddy, but makes it known to them that she is the princess. She enjoys sleeping in her big cushy bed, getting belly rubs and makes a loud “happy noise” when all her people are home.

Diogie (aka Trooper) with his new boxer brothers Diogie (aka Trooper)

The sweet boxer pup on top of the pile, was a victim of neglect. His collar had become embedded in his neck and he was extremely malnourished. He was rightfully removed from this neglectful home by Huntsville Animal Services and A New Leash on Life, Inc. found a wonderful foster home for him. His foster dad fell in love with him and could not part with him, so it became his FOREVER HOME! He has 2 boxer brothers now, and is living a safe, happy, and pampered life. Thanks to his new daddy for loving him and giving him the life he truly deserves.
