Sex: Spayed Female
Breed: Chocolate Labrador Retriever (short Coat)
Age: 1 year, 1 month
Shaka and Laka were terrified at a rural shelter, but have really started to blossom in their foster home. Both have beautiful chocolate brown coats, and are small size labs. Shaka is a little darker in color and is about 55 lbs, Laka is a little lighter in color and smaller at 45 lbs. They would enjoy a home together. Shaka and Laka like to snuggle together on the doggie bed, and follow each other everywhere. Both girls love exploring the backyard and playing together. Shaka and Laka are house trained, and do not jump on people to greet them. Their foster dad has been working with them on a leash. They were a little hesitant at first, but now walk right beside you without pulling and will slow down to make sure they are right next to each other. Shaka will nudge your hand to pet her, and then Laka quickly comes over to say “me too!” They are affectionate and gentle, and are looking for a family to love.

Some highly adoptable dogs who will find a forever home quickly, have a higher adoption fee. These dogs leave a financial legacy for the other animals in our care who may need extensive medical care or more time to find a loving home.
Return Policy: Foster homes save many lives, and as soon as one gets adopted, they often get another one. So spaces fill up fast! If you wish to return your adopted dog, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and be prepared to bring him/her to adoption events until a forever home is found. In some cases their previous foster can take them back. They cannot be given away, sold, or turned in to another agency. You are responsible for keeping your dog and bringing him/her to adoption events until we find a suitable home to adopt them.
