Casper

Sex: Neutered Male

Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier (short Coat)

Age: 1 year, 1 month

Size:

Status: Adoptable

Stray dog Casper was found running loose and looked liked he had been abused and dumped. He is the friendliest dog ever!! His favorite thing to do is lay his head in your lap.  He's good with kids and other dogs, but not sure about cats. Casper is doing well on house training. He is an older puppy, so he needs chew toys other than shoes 🙂  When he meets new people he lays down in front of them to sniff their feet. When Casper was first found, he would cower if you moved too fast, but that has slowly dissipated with much love.  He is so affectionate! Just wants to love, and play, but not rough play.  He doesn't need a leash in open areas and comes when you call him or whistle. Someone is going to absolutely fall in love with him!
Casper is a fantastic dog, 58 pounds and fully vetted and ready to go! If you are interested in adopting Casper, please fill out this form http://anewleash.org/animals/dog-adoption-form/

Some highly adoptable dogs who will find a forever home quickly, have a higher adoption fee. These dogs leave a financial legacy for the other animals in our care who may need extensive medical care or more time to find a loving home.

Return Policy: Foster homes save many lives, and as soon as one gets adopted, they often get another one.  So spaces fill up fast!  If you wish to return your adopted dog, please email pets@anewleash.org and be prepared to bring him/her to adoption events until a forever home is found.  In some cases their previous foster can take them back. They cannot be given away, sold, or turned in to another agency. You are responsible for keeping your dog and bringing him/her to adoption events until we find a suitable home to adopt them.
