Sex: Spayed Female
Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium Coat)
Age: 2 years
Abby is a very sweet 18-24 month old black lab mix who will do great in a home with other dogs. She gets along great with big and medium sized dogs. She might be small, 41 pounds, but she is fast! Abbu can keep up with bigger dogs who have longer legs. She has been in a home situation since March 2018 and has developed really good house manners. She has learned that she does her “business” outside in the yard, not in the house, and has developed a fondness for toys to chew on instead of shoes or furniture – Yeah!. At night, after her last “potty break” outside and her snack, she sleeps all night. She loves sticks, both the real kind off trees and bully sticks. Abby likes to go on walks and does really well on a leash. She has learned how to play by being around other dogs, and is able to play by herself when she is alone. But she is more relaxed when she is around other dogs. She is able to ride in the car for short distances without too much anxiety, but still needs to work on longer rides. She loves her "pool" – a $10.00 cement mixer tray from Home Depot. She gets in it after romping and running. Abby likes relaxing on the porch on her outside bed when the temperature is "just right" outside – which could be any temp! She just likes being outside. Return Policy: Foster homes save many lives, and as soon as one gets adopted, they often get another one. So spaces fill up fast! If you wish to return your adopted dog, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and be prepared to bring him/her to adoption events until a forever home is found. In some cases their previous foster can take them back. They cannot be given away, sold, or turned in to another agency. You are responsible for keeping your dog and bringing him/her to adoption events until we find a suitable home to adopt them.
