I love love LOVE Lily the great pyr/sheepdog mix. If there is ever a possibility that someone from another state could adopt her, I hope to be the first in line. Our special needs great pyr [Bud] thinks she is hot and wants a date immediately. All kidding aside, we found Buddy in a ditch in northern Illinois, where he had been hit by a car. As the town was so small, we were able to find the vet that had treated him (four times in five years) and find out his history. We learned that he had been a outside farm dog and he was with his second family. That was four years ago and Bud has adjusted beautifully. His hips are comprimised, his arthritis needs constant medication, yet Bud is happy to be a city dog and retired from livestock. When he looks at us, we can see him smile.
